Chelsea loan star Joao Felix has admitted that he wants to stay at the club after his spell with the west London outfit ends this summer. The Portuguese international joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid in January, hopeful of finding form for himself and the side once again.
It hasn't quite panned out that way for either as the mixing and matching of the side has seen Chelsea slip to mid-table in a dismal season. Frank Lampard is currently in interim charge, with two games remaining of the campaign before he hands over duties to the next permanent appointment.
football.london understands that Mauricio Pochettino has agreed a deal with Chelsea to become the next head coach at Chelsea. Once he is in office, the next job will be to shape the team and squad in the way he wishes, leaving a huge decision over someone like Felix.

The Daily Mail has reported that Atletico Madrid have set an £87million transfer fee on the forward, while Felix has previously shut down talk over a big-money switch to Newcastle this summer. However, while there's a lack of Champions League football, or any European tour, on offer at Stamford Bridge next campaign, the 23-year-old has appeared to make a plea over his future.
He said on a social media video, via The Secret Scout: "I don't know yet my future, but these four or five months, I've loved it. It's a top club. Everyone in the club was very good to me. My team-mates, unbelievable. I really like to be here."
The future of Felix remains up in the air at this stage, having seemingly fitted into the group well in his short spell at the club. It remains to be seen if his attributes and performances on the field are exactly what Pochettino will want to mould around in his own squad going forward.
