Arsenal's upcoming summer transfer window will likely focus on improving on their squad after a campaign that has seen them, at the very least, challenge for the Premier League title once again. The previous two windows have seen the Gunners close the gap on their rivals considerably.
The signings of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus in particular have gone a large way to doing that, with the pair suiting Mikel Arteta's playing style to a tee. They brought plenty of technical quality to the squad, but alongside that, some experience that has seen the side rise to the top.
"We are very happy with what we've done," Arteta told Sky Sports about the club's recent record in the transfer market. "We have tried to maximise what we could do. We have to stretch ourselves all the time to seek the best and we have to continue to do that.

"We have to be really humble to recognise that we have to be better, but knowing who we are, the resources we have, the team we have, the potential we have. If we do that we will be in the right place."
The Gunners could repeat their feat with landing Zinchenko and Jesus last summer by making a move for Man City's Joao Cancelo. The defender has been the latest name linked with a potential switch to the Emirates Stadium from the Etihad Stadium and could also suit Arteta's style.
The Portuguese international has recently fallen out of favour with Pep Guardiola, resulting in a move to Bayern Munich on loan in January. While there is no sign of a formal bid made yet, the recent links to Arsenal could see City try and cash in on the defender while his stock is high.
CIES Football Observatory currently have Cancelo valued at roughly £69.6million, which would be a hefty transfer fee for anyone involved in a deal. Whether the Gunners or any of the other teams linked could afford such a bid remains to be seen though, with summer just around the corner.
