Henry Shefflin and Brian Cody's handshake stole the limelight as Kilkenny overcame Galway in Saturday evening's Leinster Final.
The pair's frosty handshake in the round robin tournament meant all eyes were on both managers at the final whistle and they didn't disappoint from a drama point of view.
After seemingly doing everything to avoid his former player, Cody was eventually left with no choice but to stick out a hand as 'King Henry' approached him for a brief moment with a few words exchanged.
Speaking on RTE, host Joanne Cantwell said: "I have to say, it didn't look all that lovely Jackie(Tyrell)."
Tyrell, a pundit on the game, responded: "Ah look it's nice to see them embracing each other."
But the host replied: "But that was hardly an embrace, that was a very, very brief touch of hands."
And Cody's behaviour after the game came in for massive criticism online with many surprised he didn't approach Shefflin right after the whistle.
Ken Daly tweeted: "Sheflin definitely came out the better for that. Poor form from Cody."
Damian Cullen added: "How petty is Brian Cody not walking over to Henry Shefflin to shake hands after a deserved win by @KilkennyCLG. Shefflin showed he's the bigger man."
Darragh Kelly said: "Shefflin won 10 All Ireland's and 11 All Stars with Kilkenny...Cody hadn't the decency to go over and shake his hand after the game! Is that bad for from Brian Cody?? Oh it is ya!"
And John Walsh added: "I’ve a huge amount of time for Brian Cody and for what he has done for hurling, but he let himself down badly this evening. Shefflin showed a lot of class."
The pair are not likely to meet for another handshake unless both teams make it to the All-Ireland final, which most pundits wouldn't be backing.
Kilkenny now advance to the semi-final stage while Galway head to the quarter-finals.
