In a post recently shared to her Instagram page, the designer shared that she opts to blend fresh flowers with faux ones, teaching us that this is an excellent way to decorate with flowers in a way that's both more sustainable and lasts far longer.
'You know I love fresh florals, but what I also love are faux florals that look this real!' she states in the caption. 'We opened up our Flower Shoppe this week at Magnolia, so I wanted to play around with some of the stems I grabbed and see if I could make a faux arrangement look as good as a real one. Now I'll go drop this beauty off at my mom's house because she swears she can't grow anything in the garden.'
Joanna's selections include faux dahlias and delphiniums among real branches, creating a texturally interesting and realistic-looking arrangement. In fact, Homes & Gardens' Head of Gardens and all-around floral expert, Rachel Bull tells us she is highly impressed by the assortment.
