With its glittering, embroidered roots and its hand-made sparkling leaves, the "Tree of Life" is an homage to two inspiring women: Catherine de Medicis and the nymph of Greek legend, Daphne. Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos tells us about devising her latest installation in a world paralysed by the pandemic, when she forged artistic and community connections thanks to traditional crafts, aided by technology.
