Sizzling siren Dame Joan Collins is still rocking a bikini at 89 – seven decades after she was one of the first women brave enough to slip into the two-piece.
The Hollywood legend wore a blue bikini while posing for an Instagram snap with husband Percy Gibson, 57, in St Tropez last week.
Now, after more than 70 years of being a swimwear pin-up, Joan has earned the title of bikini queen – proving you’re never to old to dare to bare.
She and late sister Jackie were first snapped in teenie-weenie bikinis as teenagers in 1952 in the south of France.
Speaking about the picture Dame Joan said: “This is my sister Jackie and me as teenagers in 1952, having fun as we always did. It’s also one of the earliest photos of bikinis.”
Stylist Lindsay Campbell-Crafts said: “With celebrities embracing their age, shape and size, it is refreshing to see someone like Joan Collins showing the world they’re happy in their skin.
"To see someone happy and healthy at her age willing to brave the bikini is a true inspiration.”
