Joachim Andersen has called for both the Premier League and Instagram to intervene after the Crystal Palace defender was subjected to what he claims were between 300-400 messages of abuse on Monday night.
The Palace centre-back was involved in a tussle with Darwin Nunez for the best part of an hour at Anfield before the Reds striker was sent off for aiming a head-butt in Andersen's direction in front of the Kop.
It marked the first dismissal for violent conduct at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp with the manager later admitting he will speak to his new £64m striker privately to avoid a repeat once he returns from his three-match suspension.

'REALLY STUPID': Joachim Andersen reveals why Darwin Nunez was angry with him before red card
Palace, who were leading 1-0 at the time, were eventually pegged back by Luis Diaz's brilliant solo goal but held on for a draw to condemn Liverpool to their worst start to a Premier League season under Klopp with successive draws.
Andersen was targeted for abuse on social media after the game and shared over a dozen messages on his Instagram story before urging those in power to act. The images he shared showed vile insults and threats in various languages.
"Got maybe 3-400 of these messages last night." posted the Eagles centre-half. "I understand you support a team but have some respect and stop act(ing) tough online."
After sharing as many as 17 different messages from various Instagram users abusing him, Andersen added: "Hope @Instagram and @premierleague do something about this."
Speaking after the game at Anfield, Andersen said: “The whole game I sat really close to him, I annoyed him a lot and did well against him. I think that’s why he was angry with me.
“He headbutted me, the first one, at a cross, and I told him he shouldn’t do that. I was angry with him. Then he did it again which is, for me, is really stupid, so it’s a clear red card.”
