Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink explains why Jesse Marsch deserves more time at Leeds United

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink insists that Jesse Marsch 'deserves' more time at Elland Road amid growing pressure on the Leeds United head coach.

Leeds have registered just two wins from their last 16 games in the Premier League, and have failed to win any of their last six league matches.

The Whites are just one point above the relegation zone, and Marsch is now the second-favorite to become the next Premier League manager to leave his post, after Frank Lampard was relieved of his duties at Everton yesterday.

The fact that the board have invested with the arrivals of Max Wober and club record signing Georginio Rutter from Red Bull Salzburg and Hoffenheim respectively suggests the club still has faith in Marsch. Hasselbaink has called for 'continuity' at Leeds and says he is not among those calling for the manager's head.

"When he came in last season Jesse did an absolutely magnificent job to keep Leeds up," the former Leeds United, Chelsea and Middlesbrough forward told Safe Betting Sites.

"This season they’ve never been in the bottom three and yes they’re going through a difficult time but I’m not one to shout ‘sack the manager’ straight away. They need continuity and I think he deserves more time.”
