Jimmy Eat World credited itself for the Ravens’ second-half explosion after playing at halftime

Maybe all the Baltimore Ravens needed to get past the Houston Texans in the AFC divisional game was a stellar performance from quarterback Lamar Jackson and a Jimmy Eat World show at halftime.

Indeed, the alt-rock band best known for hits like “The Middle” and “Sweetness” played during the game break of the Ravens playoff game at M&T Bank Stadium.

After their set, the Ravens fired back from a 10-10 tie with 24 unanswered points and a 34-10 victory to advance to the AFC championship game.

Did Jimmy Eat World really help spark the Ravens’ outstanding second-half performance? Well, the band sure seems to think so.

This is just amazing, and it’s undoubtedly going to get the band some additional invitations to play during NFL playoff halftimes in the future.

The Ravens need to rally behind Jimmy Eat World for the rest of their playoff run. That’d be a heck of a combo between football and music to us.
