Jimmy Bell remembered as Rangers family pay minute's silence tribute to kitman without compare

Rangers and RB Leipzig united for a minute's silence in memory of Ibrox kitman Jimmy Bell.

The club legend passed away at the age of 69 on Tuesday and tributes have poured in from Gers figures past and present.

Captain James Tavernier and manager Gio van Bronckhorst both paid tribute at the club's pre-match press conference before their Europa League semi-final second leg against the Bundesliga side.

And ahead of kick-off in Govan the teams lined up to fall silent for a Rangers legend, which followed chants of "one Jimmy Bell" 15 minutes before kick-off.

Bell joined the club initially as a coach driver before transitioning into looking after club kit.

Before the match a banner was erected near the stadium detailing the club accomplishments in his time in Govan: 18 league titles, nine Scottish Cups and 14 League Cups.

Bell was also on board for the UEFA Cup Final in 2008 against Zenit – and the hope among Gers fans is that the current crop can produce a result that takes them to another.
