Jim Jordan And James Comer Don't Rule Out Biden Pardoning Additional Family Members: They 'Knowingly Committed Crimes'

Republican Representatives James Comer and Jim Jordan said they don't rule out President Joe Biden will pardon more family members and even himself before leaving office, as his decision to pardon his son Hunter dominates the political conversation.

Speaking with Fox News' Sean Hannity, Jordan claimed that the "Biden presidency started with a lie and ended with a lie, with many in between." Asked if it's "over for Biden and other family members," Comer said the House Oversight Committee, which he chairs, has referred both Jim and Joe Biden to the Department of Justice for perjury.

"It deposed Hunter Biden and he lied under oath. We brought Jim Biden for a transcribed interview and he lied under oath. That is a fact," Comer claimed. He went on to recall that those conclusions were "signed by Jim Jordan and I and released to the American people."

"I would fully expect Biden to pardon Jim Biden," Comer added, in reference to the president's brother. "We found that 10 family members, including Joe Biden, profited from influence peddling schemes. They were shaking down adversaries around the world for tens of millions of dollars and created all these shell companies and laundered the money through them. This is according to xix banks which said it in suspicious activity reports filed to the Treasury," he added.

Comer then anticipated that the "New Trump Justice Department will have a lot on its platter" and he looks forward to "consulting with them to see if we could be of any assistance."

Jordan, on his end, said he assumes Biden is "looking into pardoning his brother" as he "said things that didn't square."

House Republicans have blasted the president for his action, with the Oversight and Accountability Committee publishing a timeline of what they referred to as activity "the Biden Crime Family were up to from 2014 to 2024." The detailed chronology is the result of the Committee's investigation of the Biden family's domestic and international business practices. It began in January and looks to determine whether the Biden family has been targeted by foreign actors, President Biden is compromised, and national security has been threatened.

"Records obtained through the Committee's subpoenas to date reveal that the Bidens and their associates have received over $20 million in payments from foreign entities", reads the first paragraph of the Committee's lengthy statement on its website which goes on to detail, country by country, the result of their findings, including:

  • Over $3 million allegedly received by Biden family and associates from Romania.
  • Over $8 million allegedly received by Biden family and associates from China, specifically with CEFC and their related entities.
  • $6.5 million allegedly received by Biden family and associates from Ukraine
  • $3.5 million allegedly received by Biden family and associates from Russia

The "The Bidens' Influence Peddling Timeline", as the Committee calls it, goes all the way back to 2009 and links to four memorandums that provide detailed descriptions and show bank records and wires.

Biden justified his reversal in a statement saying that despite he believes in the justice system, "raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice."

"Once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further. I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision," Biden added. He granted his son a "full and unconditional pardon." His decision has also been criticized by several Democrats.
