Jim Harbaugh worked the chain crew at his son’s football game during self-imposed suspension from Michigan

While he’s serving a self-imposed three-game suspension stemming from a NCAA investigation into alleged COVID-related recruiting violations, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has found a new way to spend time on his Saturdays.

The CBS broadcast of the Wolverines’ 35-7 win over UNLV on Saturday featured a look at Harbaugh in full dad mode, working on the chain crew for his 10-year-old son Jack’s football game.

The broadcast noted that Harbaugh was back home to watch his team after working the sideline at his son’s game, so it doesn’t sound like he missed a beat between this football game and Michigan’s second game of the season.

Harbaugh will be back on the sideline after next week’s Wolverines game against Bowling Green, so he’ll have another opportunity to work on the chain crew for his son’s football game before his self-suspension is over.

Michigan won’t mind having their coach back when his self-imposed suspension concludes, as they’ll face Rutgers on Sept. 23 before games against Nebraska and Minnesota.
