The first year of the Jim Harbaugh era for the Chargers is officially in the books.
Los Angeles ended its 2024 campaign with a 32-12 loss to the Texans on Saturday afternoon in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
After the game, Harbaugh talked about his debut year as the Bolts head coach.
“Favorite ball team I’ve ever been on,” Harbaugh said.
When asked why it is the favorite team he’s ever been on, Harbaugh responded, “It just is—my favorite football team. My family. My family at home. Those are my two great loves.”
Despite going one-and-done in the playoffs, much credit goes to Harbaugh, who took a 5-12 team lacking identity and guided them to an 11-7 record and the postseason in Year 1.
“One thing I can promise you is that the sun will come up tomorrow, and we’ll be attacking it with enthusiasm unknown to mankind,” he said.
The Chargers will begin building their roster for next season in a good position with at least $75 million in cap space and at least ten draft picks.
