Jim Harbaugh Had Michigan Sing the Cheesiest Song in Locker Room After Winning National Title

Jim Harbaugh. Great coach, quirky individual.

He’d probably admit that second trait to you himself, but as if college football fans needed any reminder, Harbaugh led his team in a triumphant hymn in the locker room following the Michigan’s national championship win on Monday night.

That’s right, Harbaugh led the locker room in the singing of “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.”

The locker room absolutely loved it. Here’s the video of Harbaugh leading the celebratory song.

Harbaugh led the Wolverines to their first national title since 1997, as Michigan used stifling defense and a bruising rushing attack to beat Washington 34–13.

What’s next for Harbaugh is anybody’s guess. He’s certainly entertained (and is interested) in the idea of returning to the NFL as a coach to chase a Super Bowl, but he also clearly enjoys being at Michigan.

Sanctions are likely coming the school’s way from the NCAA for its role in the sign-stealing scandal involving former staffer Connor Stalions, but if Harbaugh returns to Michigan, it’ll be with a lucrative contract extension and another Big Ten contending team next season.

However, if this is one of the final clips to come out of Harbaugh’s time at Michigan, the legendary coach made sure to make it a good one.
