If you’re wanting to know what vibes Jim Harbaugh plans to bring to the Los Angeles Chargers, look at the underdog squad AFC Richmond for inspiration.
While being introduced as the new Chargers coach, Harbaugh talked about his love for the Jason Sudeikis television series Ted Lasso and how he wants to be like the show’s titular coach in the way he leads the franchise.
While we’re sure that doesn’t involve every single Lasso strategy from the show, it’s a fascinating insight from how the new ball coach in Los Angeles plans to conduct business as he returns to the NFL.
“There are some things I’ve copied from Ted Lasso. I try to emulate Ted Lasso in a lot of ways,” Harbaugh told reporters during Thursday’s introductory press conference. “That’s one of the best [television shows].
“There’s a life lesson in every one of those episodes.”

Well, it sure sounds like Harbaugh will want his Chargers to be like goldfish and look ahead to the future as opposed to dwelling in past franchise failures.
We’ll see how Harbaugh does in his NFL return, but it sounds like he’s got part of his culture-building playbook down pat.
