Jim Goodwin keen for Shayden Morris to realise potential at Aberdeen as winger signs four-year deal

JIM GOODWIN is looking forward to helping Shayden Morris realise his potential at Aberdeen after the winger signed a four-year deal at Pittodrie last night.

The 20-year-old, who joins from Fleetwood Town in England’s third tier, established himself as a first-team regular last season and possesses a dangerous turn of pace.

Dons manager Goodwin admitted that the Premiership side had been tracking the wide player for some time and he believes he can help Morris develop during his time in Scotland.

“Shayden is an exciting young player, and we are delighted he has chosen Aberdeen as the next step to further his career,” Goodwin said.

“He has a huge amount of potential and his arrival aligns with the strategy here at the club to be the best developer of talent.

“Having watched him extensively he ticks a lot of boxes for us in terms of the speed he will bring to the team.

“We look forward to working with Shayden and I am confident he will thrive upon the demands here at Aberdeen.”

Morris is Aberdeen’s tenth summer signing after deals were struck for Bojan Miovski, Duk, Jayden Richardson, Ylber Ramadani, Callum Roberts, Kelle Roos, Anthony Stewart, Hayden Coulsen and Liam Scales.
