Frustrated Aberdeen boss Jim Goodwin admits his side didn't do enough with the ball after dominant Celtic secured a late win at Pittodrie.
The Dons have been saluted for their attacking swagger this season, however, the gameplan against the champions was all about containment as they sat deep in the bid to deny the champions but the blueprint was ripped up by Callum McGregor's late winner which broke Aberdeen hearts.
Home punters had been treated to six wins out of seven in the Premiership at Pittodrie but the likes of Bojan Miovski and Duk were starved off service. And Goodwin admits Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "Extremely disappointed in the end to concede a goal so late on having contained Celtic up until the 87th minute. We went with a gameplan today of denying Celtic space in behind, trying to frustrate them and hit them on the counter attack - and I thought that we did that for large periods of the game. There is disappointment in terms of our overall possession and we didn't do enough with the ball when we had it.
"Defensively the boys did everything that was asked of them and they didn't get caught up a great deal. There's a 25-yard strike that has done us in the end and I can't say that Celtic weren't the better team, they were, and we knew they would be in terms of quality. If we had saw that last few minutes out it would been a fantastic point, but unfortunately we have nothing to show for it."
