Jim Cramer Loves This Tech Company, Calls Its Performance 'Unbelievable'

Pundits like Jim Cramer are usually pretty bullish when a company with a bunch of cash like Microsoft (MSFT) uses the money to acquire profitable properties.

But Cramer was so impressed with the company's quarterly results this week that the long-time investor says Microsoft has no need to for its $69 billion acquisition of video game studio Activision Blizzard (ATVI).

DON'T MISS: Activision Tumbles as UK Competition Watchdog Blocks $69 Billion Microsoft Takeover

"I think that Activision Blizzard right now is good. I think you have a really terrific  situation. Microsoft does not need it... that was just an unbelievable quarter," Cramer said on Squawk Box Wednesday.

It might be a good thing for Microsoft that they don't need Activision, because on Wednesday UK competition authorities blocked Microsoft's purchase of the video game studio behind the popular 'Call of Duty' series.

Britain's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said the deal, which was unveiled early last year, would "alter the future of the fast-growing cloud gaming market" and stunt innovation and limit choice for gamers over the coming years. The watchdog added the Microsoft's proposed remedies would require enhanced overnight.

"The CMA’s report contradicts the ambitions of the UK to become an attractive country to build technology businesses,' Activision said in a statement emailed to TheStreet. "We will work aggressively with Microsoft to reverse this on appeal."
