Jill Scott says she's 'still completely in shock' after winning ITV I'm A Celeb

Queen of the Jungle Jill Scott has said she's 'still completely in shock' after winning ITV's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

In a sweet Instagram post, the former Lioness shared a collection of photos of her being crowned winner. Others showed her hanging out with fellow I'm A Celeb contestants outside of the show, including Owen Warner, Babatunde Aleshe, Charlene White, Sue Cleaver and Scarlette Douglas.

Captioning the post, Jill wrote: "Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all the support whilst I was in the jungle! I’m totally overwhelmed and appreciate every single message, vote and just overall kindness! I’m still completely in shock and I don’t think Queen of the Jungle will ever sink in!

She added: "One thing I do know is I leave with so many great friends and that for me is the biggest win! Time to get home shower a few more times and catch up with loved ones THANKYOU".

Jill beat former health secretary Matt Hancock and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner to be crowned Queen of the Jungle during Sunday's finale. She stole the nation's heart as she took on the trials and tribulations of the Australian jungle, winning the final vote with 57.7% of the public vote.

And Jill received more than double the amount of votes than Matt did in the first round of the finale, according to ITV. A total of 10.1 million viewers tuned in to Sunday’s final, ITV said, making it the highest-rated since football manager Harry Redknapp won the Australian jungle reality show in 2018.

Speaking to hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly after learning of her win, Jill said: “I just can’t believe it. Honestly, I think I’m going to owe my grandma a lot of money for the 12 million votes she’s done. We were one big team, I don’t think there should be one winner, we couldn’t have got through it without all of us.”
