Jil Sander's Olfactory Series 1 Collection Is Basically Quiet Luxury in Fragrance Form

Jil Sander is one of the more minimalist fashion houses out there. Sure, its recent collections brought to us by current creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier are a bit bolder, but still there's something so sleek about each and every piece. Now the brand is taking that aesthetic and bottling it via its new fragrance collection.

The Jil Sander Olfactory Series 1 collection contains six unisex formulas each boasting only a handful of components. A trio of natural ingredients is combined with aldehydes, water and alcohol connected to upcycled carbon emissions. The aromas were created by five different perfumers, making sure the scents are truly unique, even as a collection. Leaf and Earth are perfumer Julie Massé's calling cards. Miel is designed by Mathilde Bijaoui, Black Tea comes courtesy of Nathalie Lorson, Coffea belongs to Paul Guerlain and Smoke is Bérénice Watteau's concoction.

Shop the Jil Sander Olfactory Series 1 collection on the brand's website. Each aroma costs $290 and is well worth the price. Plus, you can always repurpose the beautiful asymmetric bottles featuring white, bell-shaped aluminum caps as objet d'arts.
