New Delhi/Ranchi: With the chilly wave gripping the North India, the political weather in Jharkhand is heating up day by day.
Speculations are gaining momentum regarding Chief Minister Hemant Soren who may quit as Chief Minister. A final call may be decided in the legislative party meeting to be held tomorrow on Wednesday.
According to Dynamite News correspondent, the biggest reason for the heat in Jharkhand's politics is the summons of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to Hemant Soren. ED has summoned Soren for the seventh time. There is a possibility that this time if he appears before ED, the Agency may arrest him.
In fact, Chief Minister Hemant Soren is brainstorming on alternative measures. There is a buzz that if necessary, he may resign as Chief Minister and hand over the CM post to his wife Kalpana Soren.
To discuss all the options, a meeting of the legislature party has been called at CM Soren's residence tomorrow in the evening. In the meeting, many issues can be discussed, including Soren's resignation from the post of CM, handing over power to Kalpana Soren and the strategy to deal with the ED summons.
In the mean time, the sudden resignation of senior JMM MLA Dr Sarfaraz Ahmad from Gandey constituency has fanned the buzz that he has vacated his seat to make way for Kalpana Soren to contest from Ganday.
