State Governor administers the oath
The oath was administered by State Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at the Raj Bhavan in Ranchi.

Total six JMM MLAs who took oath as ministers are Sudivya Kumar, Deepak Birua, Ramdas Soren, Chamra Linda, Yogendra Prasad and Hafijul Hasan. Besides, Congress MLAs Deepika Pandey Singh, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Irfan Ansari and Radhakrishna Kishore were also sworn in as ministers. RJD's Sanjay Prasad Yadav also taken oath as Minister in Hemant Soren Cabinet.
JMM MLA Stephen Marandi took oath as the pro-tem speaker of the assembly.

Jharkhand Assembly Polls
In the recently-concluded elections, INDIA alliance won 56 seats in the 81-member Jharkhand assembly. The JMM won 34 seats, while the Congress won 16 seats, the RJD won four, and the CPI-ML won two seats.The JMM had contested the highest number of seats at 43 and won 34.
The BJP-led NDA could win only 24 seats. (With Agency Inputs)
