Jewell Loyd Sets WNBA All-Star Game Scoring Record in Team Stewart’s Win

The 2023 WNBA All-Star Game treated fans to a record-setting performance by Jewell Lloyd as Team Stewart beat Team Wilson 143–127 at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.

Seattle Storm star Jewell Loyd won All-Star Game MVP after pouring in 31 points—the most in WNBA All-Star Game history. The two-time WNBA champion hit 10-of-21 from beyond the arc, while dishing out six assists and grabbing four rebounds. The scoring outburst broke the previous record of 30 points held by both Maya Moore and Kelsey Plum.

The game included some thrilling moments, highlighted by Brittney Griner converting a breakaway dunk in the first quarter. In her ninth WNBA All-Star Game, she poured in 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Team Stewart.

Kelsey Plum, who earned All-Star Game MVP honors last year, was sensational in a losing effort for Team Wilson. The Las Vegas Aces star scored a team-high 30 points on the strength of 6-of-10 shooting from three-point range.
