As the Jets returned to practice to bring preparation for the New England Patriots in Week 8, they are still dealing with some injuries besides the big ones this week with the losses of Breece Hall and Alijah Vera-Tucker.
Wide receiver Corey Davis is still considered day-to-day with the knee injury he suffered against the Broncos and did not practice Wednesday. Neither did DE John Franklin-Myers, who is dealing with an illness.
Some good news, however, on the injury front. Rookie defensive end Jermaine Johnson returned to practice for the first time since injuring his ankle against the Dolphins in Week 8. He was limited Wednesday but he could return to the lineup this week.
Also limited Wednesday were a couple of the usual suspects, Duane Brown (shoulder) and Quincy Williams (ankle) as well as safety Ashtyn Davis, who missed Week 7 with a hamstring injury.
For the Patriots, three players did not practice, including excellent safety Kyle Duggar (ankle), DT Christian Barmore (knee) and OL David Andrews (concussion).
Among those that were limited for New England were WR Nelson Agholor (hamstring), WR Kendrick Bourne (toe), LB Anfernee Jennings (calf), DB Jonathan Jones (ankle), OL Mike Onwenu (ankle), safety Adrian Phillips (shoulder), LB Josh Uche (hamstring) and OT Isaiah Wynn (shoulder).
