The Jets announced their inactives for Week 15 against the Miami Dolphins but the big story is from the other sideline. The Dolphins will be without their best offensive weapon.
Tyreek Hill will not play Sunday due to an injured ankle. He tried testing his ankle in pregame after missing practice all week but his ankle clearly isn’t where the team would like it to be. The Jets catch a huge break.
In fact, the Dolphins have a few key players inactive Sunday including safety Jevon Holland, cornerback Xavien Howard and offensive lineman Robert Hunt.
The rest of Miami’s inactive players are QB Skylar Thompson (emergency third quarterback) and LB Jason Pierre-Paul.
For the Jets, no surprises with their inactives. Jason Brownlee was already ruled out and Carter Warren was doubtful. Max Mitchell is also out meaning the Jets will start their 11th different offensive line combination in their 14th game this season. Billy Turner will start at right tackle.
Also inactive for the Jets are LB Marcelino McCrary-Ball, DE Carl Lawson, CB Bryce Hall and QB Brett Rypien (emergency third quarterback).
