This will give the Jets a chance to work against the No. 1 pick from the 2023 NFL Draft, Panthers quarterback Bryce Young while Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will get some work against a Panthers defense that is young but good, including stud edge-rusher Brian Burns and a young secondary that includes cornerback Jaycee Horn and hybrid Jeremy Chinn. The Panthers are also moving to a 3-4 defense under new defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero.
The two teams will hold a pair of practices together at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina before the Week 1 preseason meeting.
