Jets to visit Carolina for joint practices with Panthers

The Jets will be spending some extra time down in the Carolinas this summer. Per Mike Kaye of the Charlotte Observer, the Jets and Carolina Panthers will hold joint practices in August leading up to their preseason matchup on Saturday, August 12.

This will give the Jets a chance to work against the No. 1 pick from the 2023 NFL Draft, Panthers quarterback Bryce Young while Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will get some work against a Panthers defense that is young but good, including stud edge-rusher Brian Burns and a young secondary that includes cornerback Jaycee Horn and hybrid Jeremy Chinn. The Panthers are also moving to a 3-4 defense under new defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero.

The two teams will hold a pair of practices together at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina before the Week 1 preseason meeting.
