The Jets suffered another disappointing primetime loss, this time to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday Night Football in Week 10.
The Jets fell to 4-5 with the loss but still only sit one game out of a playoff spot in what has become a tight AFC playoff race.
Here, we’ll take a look at the snap counts for the Jets in Week 10 and get another sense of how the Jets are utilizing some of their players on each side of the football.
Offense

- In what ended up his final game as a New York Jet, running back Michael Carter played nine snaps, being benched following his chop-block penalty. The Jets now can use Israel Abanikanda more and, after looking better in his 10 snaps Sunday, could use Dalvin Cook more as well.
- Jeremy Ruckert needs to see the field more. C.J. Uzomah out-snapped Ruckert 23-15 but also had a killer penalty on what would have been a three-year touchdown from Breece Hall. With the Jets seemingly serious about making personnel changes, this is one spot they really need to look at.
- The Jets used their sixth unique offensive line combination this season with Xavier Newman at right guard and Max Mitchell back at right tackle. The good news is they all played every snap.
Defense

- A minor injury caused C.J. Mosley to miss his first snaps of the season. As Rich Cimini noted, head coach Robert Saleh said Mosley could have returned.
- With Will McDonald out, Carl Lawson was back in the mix this week. However, he saw the fewest snaps (15) out of all the defensive linemen, similar to when McDonald is active.
- Bryce Huff reached 50% of the snaps (32) this week, which was tied for the third-most among defensive linemen with Quinton Jefferson and behind Quinnen Williams (43) and Jermaine Johnson (38).
