The Mike White effect may already be taking shape in Vegas.
The Jets already had a talented roster, but after a strong offensive performance in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears, behind 315 passing yards and three touchdowns from White, the Jets are only a three-point underdog for their Week 13 trip to Minnesota, courtesy of Tipico Sportsbook.
It’s “only” because you have to wonder what the spread may have been if Zach Wilson was still under center and the offense was still struggling. It’s obviously still early with White and the Vikings are certainly not the Bears, but it’s a credit to the Jets and their performances this season that the sportsbooks believe the Jets, on the road, can hang with a team on the verge of clinching their division.
The Jets are a +130 moneyline against the Vikings and the over/under is set at 44.5.
