The New York Jets have selected LSU cornerback Jarrick Bernard-Converse with the 204th pick in the draft.
Converse transferred to LSU in 2022 after four years at Oklahoma State. He began his college career as a safety before moving to cornerback in 2020. He played in 64 career games with 56 starts, recording 228 career tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss, five sacks, two forced fumbles, 29 passes defended and four interceptions.
Converse measured six feet and 196 pounds at his Pro Day and ran a 4.39 40-yard dash. He was not invited to the Scouting Combine. He’ll add versatility to the Jets’ secondary.
This ends up being a very nice birthday present for Converse, who turns 23 today.
