Jets Season Ticket Sales Skyrocket Thanks to Aaron Rodgers Trade

Aaron Rodgers’s move to New York has excited the Jets fan base, as the team has a high level quarterback for the first time in a long time. That excitement has manifested itself in ticket sales, as fans have flocked to secure tickets for the upcoming season.

According to Eric Jackson of Sportico, the Jets have received a 400% increase in season tickets and suite sales compared to last year, when the team was coming off a 4-13 season in 2021 season. Of that number, 250% came in between Rodgers’s appearance on The Pat McAfee Show in March and the official trade announcement last week.

Team owner Woody Johnson expressed how much interest the team was getting in a video posted Monday on social media.

The Jets have not made the playoffs since the 2010 season and currently own the longest playoff drought among the four major sports in the United States. Additionally, New York hasn’t produced a record above .500 since 2015, as the Jets own seven straight seasons with at least nine losses.

With Rodgers on the team, New York is expected to be one of the most interesting teams of the NFL season, which could include selection for several nationally televised games. Whenever the games take place, fans are ready to support their team in a way they haven’t been able to in a long time.
