The Jets finish stability over the past few seasons in the kicking game with Greg Zuerlein after a number of up-and-down years. That stability will continue as the Jets have re-signed Zuerlein to a two-year deal worth $8.4 million, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Zuerlein is coming off one of the best seasons of his career, hitting 35 of 38 field goals along with 15 of 16 extra points. His 92.1% success rate in 2023 was the third-highest of his career. He also hit five field goals from 50+ yards. In 2022 against the Vikings, Zuerlein hit a 60-yard field goal which is the longest in franchise history.
That’s one key special-teamer locked in this free agency period for the Jets. Next up should be punter Thomas Morstead.
