As the NFL world begins to descend on Mobile, Alabama for the Reese’s Senior Bowl, the Jets will have some representation in the form of getting a close look at some of the prospects and having one of their coaches take on a great opportunity.
Jets running backs coach Pat Bastien will be a part of the coaching staff for the American team at the Senior Bowl that will be led by Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.
Not that the Jets need a running back, but this is still a great opportunity for Bastien as the Senior Bowl is giving coaches a chance to “coach up” if you will. It’s a chance to take on more of a role as a coach and get a chance to get a closer look at some of the prospects that will be in Mobile this week.
The running backs Bastien will work with are Oklahoma RB Eric Gray, Georgia RB Kenny McIntosh, Kentucky RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. and Tulane RB Tyjae Spears.
