The injury bug hit the Jets hard on Sunday, particularly on the offensive line. A pair of interior offensive linemen are heading to injured reserve.
Head coach Robert Saleh told reporters Monday that center Connor McGovern (knee) and guard Wes Schweitzer (calf) are both being placed on injured reserve. Both will miss at least the next four games. They can return for New York’s Week 13 game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Saleh said both have a chance to return this season. On McGovern, he said McGovern isn’t “out of the woods” in regards to whether he needs surgery or not but it’s a best-case scenario based on how the injury initially seemed on Sunday.
Fortunately for the Jets, Joe Tippmann may be back this week, as well as tackle Duane Brown. The Jets will decide over the next few days on those two. Brown is still on injured reserve and the team has yet to open his practice window.
