JetBlue Founder Trolled After Showing Off Home Theater Featuring 'Gross' Old Airplane Seats: 'Assume You Don't Watch TV More Than 2 Hours Straight'

JetBlue co-founder Rob Land probably didn't expect turbulence when he showed off his home theater setup. But after revealing he repurposed old airline seats for his personal movie-watching experience, social media had some thoughts—and most weren't first-class reviews.

"Being a @JetBlue founder sometimes has its perks," Land posted on X (formerly Twitter) Tuesday. "When we originally updated the configuration of our A320s, I took home a row of seats. While the TVs were removed, I set these up in front of our TV at home. There's no better way to watch a movie, on the ground or in the sky!"

Many were quick to board the thread with their thoughts.

"I'm assuming you don't watch TV for more than two hours straight..." one user commented.

Another response cut straight to the point: "Gross."

"Do you know how many thousands of people have farted on those seats? Yuck!" someone else wrote.

"Worst possible way you could watch a movie," another person chimed in.

"If I come over and you tell me to take a seat in some shitty economy airline seats permanently infused with the essence of 100,000 random smelly asses and farts, I am leaving lol."

Despite the backlash, not everyone was completely against the idea.

"Rob, you need a polished A320 wing fence to go with those seats," one user said.
