As it's getting closer to summer, some of us may be planning to jet off on a summer holiday or a city break.
With some airlines each having different hand luggage rules, you might want to know how what allowance you have for your trip.
Here are the cabin baggage rules for airlines which fly from Belfast International or Belfast City Airport.

This includes Jet2, Ryanair, easyJet and TUI.
Jet2
You may carry on board one piece of hand luggage free of charge, as long as it weighs no more than 10kg and is no larger than 56cm x 45cm x 25cm, including any wheels and handles. If your hand luggage weighs more or is larger than this, it will need to be checked into the aircraft hold, and you may have to pay an additional charge.
You can also bring a small, personal item on board (such as a handbag, laptop bag or airport purchase), as long as it is placed underneath the seat in front of you.

Ryanair
All passenger fare types include a small personal bag, which must fit under the seat in front of you.
This must be a maximum of 40cm x 20cm x 25cm.
The Priority and 2 Cabin Bags policy allows customers to board the plane via the Priority Queue and carrying their small personal bag and 10kg wheelie bag (55x40x20cm) with them on board.
If Priority is sold out, you can purchase a 10kg Check-in Bag.

easyJet
Everyone can bring one small cabin bag per person on board for free.
It can be a maximum size of 45 x 36 x 20 cm (including any handles or wheels) and needs to fit under the seat in front of you. Your bag can weigh up to 15kg.
If you’d also like to bring a large cabin bag on board (max. 56 x 45 x 25 cm, including any handles or wheels), you have the option to:
- select an Up Front or Extra Legroom seat or
- Book a large cabin bag for your flight
If you’re an easyJet Plus cardholder or customer who has booked a FLEXI fare, you can also bring a large cabin bag on board (in addition to your small cabin bag) as part of your membership or fare benefits.
The maximum number of cabin bags available per person is two; one small cabin bag for all customers and one large cabin bag for customers where it’s included with their seat, fare or membership benefits or where they have paid to add one to their booking.

Tui
You can take 1 piece of hand luggage per person (excluding infants) weighing up to 10kg and with maximum dimensions of 55x40x20cm on a TUI Airways flight. You must be able to lift your hand luggage into the overhead storage compartments yourself.
You can bring a Trunki case as hand luggage, as long as it weighs no more than 10kg. In addition to the piece of hand luggage you can also bring one small personal item, things like laptops, handbags or a briefcase. The airline says this must be small enough to be stored under the seat.

Aer Lingus Regional
One 7kg carry-on bag per passenger, maximum size 48 x 33 x 20 cm plus one small personal item per passenger (small handbag, laptop bag, baby changing bag), maximum size 25 x 33 x 20 cm.

British Airways
You can take one handbag/laptop bag (max. 23kg / 51lb and up to 40 x 30 x 15cm) and one additional cabin bag (max. 23kg / 51lb and up to 56 x 45 x 25cm).

KLM
Economy
- 1 item of hand baggage with a maximum size of 55 x 35 x 25 cm including handles and wheels;
- 1 accessory (such as a small handbag or laptop bag) with a maximum size of 40 x 30 x 15 cm.
Your hand baggage can have a combined weight of up to 12 kg.
Premium Comfort
- 2 items of hand baggage, each with a maximum size of 55 x 35 x 25 cm including handles and wheels;
- 1 accessory (such as a small handbag or laptop bag) with a maximum size of 40 x 30 x 15 cm.
Your hand baggage can have a combined weight of up to 12 kg.
Business
- 2 items of hand baggage, each with a maximum size of 55 x 35 x 25 cm including handles and wheels;
- 1 accessory (such as a small handbag or laptop bag) with a maximum size of 40 x 30 x 15 cm.
Your hand baggage can have a combined weight of up to 18 kg.

Loganair
- Fly Flex + passengers can carry 1 bag up to 6kg free of charge plus a small handbag and slimline laptop bag.
- Fly and Fly Flex passengers can carry 1 bag up to 6kg free of charge plus a small handbag.
The cabin luggage must be labelled at check-in, weigh under 6 kilos, and not exceed dimensions of 40cm x 35cm x 18cm.

Lufthansa
You can take one item of baggage with you, such as a trolley case, a compact, foldable baby buggy or a foldable garment bag, or two items in Business or First Class. Carry-on baggage must be a max of 55 x 40 x 23 cm and dimensions for foldable garment bags must be a max of 57 x 54 x 15 cm.
