Jet2 offering holidays from 1p and this is how you could get one

If you're looking to book your Summer holiday you're in luck. Jet2 have announced they're flogging breaks starting from just 1p.

The holiday giant are offering its 'Bid for a break' promotion again which means you could secure a week in the sun for as little as a penny. The break is for two people and you can go to destinations including Tenerife, Bulgaria and Gran Canaria.

There is one slight catch though. According to Jet2's rules you have to win the fun in the sun by offering the lowest bid.

You also need to be the only person who has offered the specific amount. The first prize of the year was given to a woman who managed to snap up a vacation to Turkey for as little as £14.46, reports Daily Star.

To be in with a chance of winning you need to submit your bid by midday on May 12. The second break up for grabs doesn't open for bids until May 16, and is a holiday to the Kiani Beach Resort in Crete.

This will be followed by bidding on May 30 for a trip to Gran Canaria's Abora Catarina by Lopesan Hotels.

For those who don't win, Jet2 will reward all bidders by giving them a £60 discount code off their next holiday. Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: "With international travel now fully unlocked, we know how much UK holidaymakers want to get away to enjoy some much-needed sunshine, and we are delighted to relaunch our Bid for a Break campaign.

"The campaign was hugely successful last year and now, thanks to its return, we are once again giving holidaymakers the chance to get away in a fun way for potentially only a few pence."

How do I bid for a break?

  • First you need to download the Jet2holidays app
  • Next you need to head to the 'Offers' page
  • Click on 'bid for a break'
  • Enter your details on the form provided
  • Jot down your lowest bid
  • Keep faith that you'll manage to bag a break
