Jet2 has issued an urgent warning on social media amid "several fraudulent social media and email accounts contacting our community".
Widespread disruption has impacted the travel industry in recent weeks and months with reports of long queues, delays and cancelled flights. More people have taken to social media this week to complain of huge, snaking queues at Manchester Airport's security.
An airport spokesperson told the ECHO it had apologised to passengers and that "most passengers will get through security within half an hour".

Jet2 said it has "not made any cancellations due to staff shortages", however some routes have been pulled amid a review of services and demand. If your flight is cancelled, you are entitled to a refund - which can be accepted in the form of credit.
However, it seems some fraudsters are taking advantage of this process. Taking to Twitter on Monday, Jet2 warned customers, saying: "IMPORTANT REMINDER!
"There are currently several fraudulent social media and email accounts contacting our community about their holidays. Please don't purchase Refund Credit Notes via social media and look out for the blue tick to ensure you're speaking to us".
