Jet2 is offering 1p holidays - how to score a week-long trip this summer

Budget travellers could score their biggest deal yet as Jet2 is offering holidays for as little as 1p.

The holiday operator's 'Bid for a Break' promotion is back on, which means travellers can win a week-long trip for pennies.

This year you could literally bid wanderlust adieu by betting on a seven-day holiday for two to Tenerife, Bulgaria or Gran Canaria.

Customers will have to be clever to bag the deal and there is a catch.

Jet2's rules say the winning bid must be the lowest, but also unique, which means that you must be the only person to have bid that amount.

The first winner of 2022 went to one woman who bagged a holiday in Turkey for a mere £14.46.

The next holiday up for grabs is a trip to Tenerife at the four-star Gara Suites Golf & Spa in Playa de las Americas.

To enter to win, holidaymakers need to enter by midday on May 12.

The second trip, which opens for bids on May 16, is a holiday to the Kiani Beach Resort in Crete, followed by bidding on May 30 for a trip to Gran Canaria's Abora Catarina by Lopesan Hotels.

Other destinations this year include the Balearics, Canary Islands, Bulgaria, Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.

2021 was the campaign's first year and 23 people scored holidays, such as ones to Santorini, Majorca and the Algarve after offering just £1.60, £5.70 and £8.51, respectively.

Even if you don't win, Jet2 will reward all bidders with a special discount code for £60 off their next holiday.

"The campaign was hugely successful last year and now, thanks to its return, we are once again giving holidaymakers the chance to get away in a fun way for potentially only a few pence."

How to bid for a Jet2 holiday

1. Download the Jet2holidays app.
2. Go to the 'Offers' page.
3. Select 'Bid for a break'.
4. Fill out the form with your contact details.
5. Add in your lowest unique bid to the nearest pence.
6. Cross your fingers and hope your bid wins!
