A Jet2 flight heading to Manchester Airport was forced to divert after passengers were informed of a "serious medical situation".
The flight from Bodrum, Turkey had to land in Brussels, Belgium last night (September 27) due to a medical emergency. The M.E.N reports that the airline sent a text to passengers to say there had been a 'serious medical situation'
Jet2 has confirmed that a member of the flight deck fell unwell and said the flight had to divert as a "precautionary measure".

Shannon, from Northern Moor, Manchester, was on the flight heading home with her two-year-old daughter. She told the M.E.N that there were 'about five ambulances, some fire engines and a police car waiting' on the tarmac in Brussels.
She said: "The flight was on time from Bodrum. We ended up doing an emergency landing to Brussels. There was about five ambulances, fire engines and a police car waiting. We landed and got taken into the airport but we've had no information, there's people with young children and people in wheelchairs here.
"They said it was an emergency medical incident. There's been no communication and we feel like we've been dragged from pillar to post.
"We weren't able to get our bags from the plane so I haven't even been able to get more nappies for my daughter."
A flight from Brussels back to Manchester was due to leave at around 9am on Wednesday. A replacement crew had to be called in.
A Jet2 spokesperson said: “Flight LS984 from Bodrum to Manchester diverted to Brussels Airport as a precautionary measure, due to a member of the flight deck feeling unwell.
"The aircraft landed safely, and a replacement crew has been arranged to fly customers home to Manchester. We would like to apologise to anyone affected by this unforeseen delay.”
