Jet2, easyJet and TUI airlines have offered a new service at Bristol Airport. It will see passengers being able to check in their hold luggage the evening before they fly.
The new Twilight check-in is a free service available seven days a week and allows customers to skip check-in on the morning of their flight and head straight through security. It means luggage will be sorted and ready for the departing flight.
It is aimed at providing peace of mind to customers staying overnight at nearby hotels before an early flight departure. Bristol Airport already asks travellers to arrive at the airport at the time when airlines are advising passengers to check-in. According to the airport, arriving too early can lead to congestion and might put a strain on the operations of the earlier departures. To use the service, customers will need to bring their passport and boarding passes with them when checking their bags in the evening before. Passengers are advised to check bag drop-off times directly with their airline.
