Jet2 cheap holidays deal could see you fly to Tenerife for just 1p

The cost of living crisis may be biting, but Jet2 is giving people the chance for a getaway for just 1p. Their holidays from 1p include destinations like Tenerife, Crete and Gran Canaria.

Jet2holidays' 'Bid for a break' allows you to bid the lowest amount you want to pay for a holiday. The catch is that only the lowest unique bid will win the trip.

Last year, 23 holidaymakers won getaways to the Canary Islands, Greece, Cyprus, Spain, Portugal and Turkey, with some of the bids starting from just 2p, reports MirrorOnline.

Different holidays are released on different days. Currently, you can bid for a break to Bulgaria from May 16, Crete from May 23, and Gran Canaria from May 30.

There's a mix of deals for both couples and families of four. You can find out more about the holidays and get the full terms and conditions on the Jet2Holidays website.

Putting in your bid is simple:

  1. Download the Jet2holidays app
  2. Go to the 'Offers' page
  3. Select 'Bid for a break'
  4. Fill out the form with your contact details
  5. Add in your lowest unique bid, to the nearest pence

Even if you don't win, all participants as unsuccessful bidders receive a special discount code giving them £60 off their next holiday. If the holidays aren't quite right for you, you don't need to break the bank to enjoy a sun-filled getaway.

It's also worth noting that there are still travel restrictions in place due to the pandemic. For example, if you're hoping to visit the likes of Tenerife and Gran Canaria, adults need to be vaccinated while unvaccinated kids aged 12-17 will need a PCR test to be granted entry.

Entry requirements can change quickly during the pandemic, so always check the Foreign Office's latest travel advice for a destination before you book a trip or go abroad, as this will include key information from entry requirements to local Covid rules you need to know.
