Jet2 announces more Edinburgh flights to top holiday destinations for summer 2023

Jet2 has announced new flights to two top holiday destinations from Edinburgh Airport ahead of a busy 2023 schedule.

The airline has further committed to Turkey by adding more flights to Antalya from the capital, proving the city to be one of the most popular summer destinations on offer with their stunning beaches and scorching weather.

Additionally, more flights to the Balearic Islands and Majorca have also been announced. Jet2 says the move is a result of a strong demand in flights and ATOL protected package holidays.

The additional services to Turkey will be available from March 28 to April 25, meaning the airline will operate five weekly flights to the city. Six weekly services will also run from Edinburgh to Majorca from April 4-25.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: "Just weeks after being recognised as a Which? Recommended Provider, we are delighted to be announcing even more award-winning flights and holidays for customers and independent travel agents to choose from.

"We are experiencing strong demand from customers looking to enjoy some early Turkish sun and, as always, we have been quick to respond by adding extra capacity to Antalya from Edinburgh Airport. This expansion further strengthens our commitment to Turkey, and we are looking forward to bringing even more holidaymakers to this fantastic destination."

He added: "Not stopping there, we have also put on additional services to Majorca, providing even more choice and flexibility for those looking to get away this summer and experience our VIP customer service."

Recent figures released by Edinburgh Airport saw three million more passengers compared to 2021. In 2019, the busiest year ever recorded for a Scottish airport saw 14 million passengers fly in and out of the capital.
