Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced a new destination for their Winter Sun programme next year.
Passengers will be able to fly directly to 12 destinations for winter sun, with a brand-new winter route to a Mediterranean destination on offer. That new winter route is to Malta, while the company's offering to Turkey's Antalya has also been expanded, with three weekly services.
Another announcement is set for next month, with the companies' Ski and City Winter 23/24 destinations going on sale from Newcastle Airport. Currently, both Jet2.com and Jet2holidays offer more than 40 flights per week from November to April.

In response to this demand, we are stepping in by putting our Winter Sun programme on sale from Newcastle Airport.
"With more customers than ever wanting to give themselves something to look forward to next year, we have no doubt that these hotspots will be extremely popular with both customers and independent travel agents in the region. The strong demand we are seeing for Winter Sun means we are looking ahead with real confidence and look forward to revealing even more details of our exciting Winter 23/24 programme from Newcastle Airport very soon."
Nick Jones, Chief Executive of Newcastle International Airport, said: "Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ increased winter 2023/24 schedule demonstrates the airline’s ongoing commitment to the region and confidence in the North East’s largest airport.
