Scots looking for a summer getaway will have access to more flight routes to popular holiday hotspots this year.
That's because Jet2 is improving its summer programme and will be offering holidaymakers more routes to Majorca. In April, additional services headed to the Spanish city will depart from both Glasgow Airport and Edinburgh Airport.
It comes as part of an 11,000 seat expansion which the airline has announced. It has been brought on by 'demand from customers' and will see more routes added to Majorca and Tenerife.
While the Scottish travel hubs are only adding more Majorca routes, there will be additional flights to Tenerife leaving from Belfast International, Leeds Bradford and Manchester Airport.

"Our Summer 23 programme is looking extremely popular and today’s expansion shows that this popularity applies right across the summer season, not just during the peak holiday period."
It comes after Majorca - as well as Menorca and Ibiza - announced an 'absolute ceiling' on tourist numbers. Tourists chiefs are reportedly working to encourage visitors to come throughout the year and to stay in less saturated areas.
The future maximum number of holidaymakers will be 16,475,579, the same amount that arrived on the islands in 2022.
