Taking to social media, Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed that they attended the scene.
They said: "Firefighters from HQ and Dolphins Barn responded to an incident under O'Connell Bridge yesterday evening.
"A jet ski user collided with the bridge knocking them from the ski, rendering it unusable and a hazard to safe navigation of the river."
In Ireland, jet-ski users must wear a life jacket. Those who breach can receive a fine of €150.
Waterways Ireland said there are by-laws and speed zones in place on the water to ensure people’s safety, and urge the public to follow the guidelines in place.
Users are requested to keep a safe distance, wear a life jacket, always use a kill cord, check weather forecasts and have a means of attracting attention in emergencies.
It wasn't the only waterways incident for Dublin Fire Brigade this weekend.
Brave firefighters battled a fire onboard a ship at Dublin Port on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the Dublin Fire Brigade said: "You never know where a call may take you. North Strand fire station responded to an EMS call onboard a vessel today.
"We also train for shipboard firefighting emergencies in the Irish maritime area."
