Jesy Nelson turns heads in Hollywood rocking dungarees, space buns and dripping in gold

Jesy Nelson commanded attention as she strutted through Hollywood in a pair of 90s inspired baggy camouflage dungarees as she splashed the cash on a shopping spree with pals.

The singer, 30, jetted off to LA to work on new music after moving on from the blackfishing argument sparked by her last album Boyz.

In a throwback to her X Factor days where she was often seen in camouflage, Jesy looked effortlessly cool in her casual streetwear.

Her long dark hair was slicked back into cute space buns and she accessorised with large hooped earrings and oversized sunglasses.

She teamed her look with a pair of Nike high-tops and wore a stack of delicate necklaces with cross pendants.

The singer, 30, browsed street stalls after taking a break from the recording studio where she's working.

She was seen picking up a selection of fluffy bucket hats and chatted to her entourage as they wandered in the sunshine.

The former Little Mix star gave fans a behind the scenes peek on Instagram.

In one of the snaps she cuddled up to a friend and added the simple caption of "gang" with a green heart emoji.

The photos had a retro look and appeared to have been snapped in a low light.

In one she shared a row of keyboards and in another she sat beside one of her team as they worked on a laptop.

In one of the shots, Jesy looked deep in focus as she sang into the microphone.

She kept her shades on for the whole session at the quirkly-looking studio.

She had teased the new project to her 8.6million Instagram followers, who were thrilled that she was making more music.

She wrote: "Just a message to say I love you all so so much and I cannot wait to be able to show what I've been working on'."

One wrote in capital letters: "IT IS GONNA BE ICONIC ALBUMM" and added a heart face.

She is said to have drawn on her past relationships with Love Island star Chris Hughes, 28, singer Jake Roche, 29, and actor Sean Sagar, 31, for inspiration for her new songs.

The star appeared to have moved on from the blackfishing row that was sparked from her Boyz album.

Her album climbed to number four in the charts but Jesy found herself dragged into arguments over her choice of clothing and how she looks.

Jesy, who wore braids and heavy fake tan in the video for Boyz denied trying to look black.

She said that she is a "white British woman" and said: "The whole time I was in Little Mix I never got any of that. Then I came out of [the band] and people all of a sudden were saying it.”

To make matters worse, after the song's release, an influencer under the name No Hun released DMs from former band member Leigh-Anne Pinnock.

In one message, allegedly from Leigh-Anne's account, she wrote: "She [Jesy] blocked us. Cut us off. Horrible person.”

In another, she apparently wrote: "Do a video about her being a blackfish instead.”

A source told The Sun: "Jesy has been writing and recording all year and is really proud of her music. So far about five songs have been completed and they are a mixture of ballads and pop hits.

"She doesn't live in a bubble and is aware of how divisive Boyz was but it's making her more determined than ever to make the next single perfect.

"The current plan is that neither of the ballads will be the second single, but the hope is that she will drop her next track at the end of January."
