Jesy Nelson shared a new pregnancy update on Monday, two weeks after revealing she’s expecting twins with ex-boyfriend Zion Foster, 26.

Earlier this month, the former Little Mix singer, 33, confirmed the joyful news on Instagram, cradling her growing baby bump.

In the post, the pop star was all smiles alongside Foster, just months after their reported split in September, and joked she’s now "eating for three."

Weeks on from the announcement, Nelson took to her Instagram Story on Monday to show off her blossoming bump.

Sharing a bump selfie at home, she penned: “Good morning from me and the babies! Have a lovely start to your week”.

While excited to welcome her first children, her current joy contrasts with past remarks where she stated she "didn’t want" children and felt motherhood was "just not in me."

She told Glamour UK in a 2021 interview: “No I don't want children.”

Nelson added: “It's just not in me. I think as a woman, [motherhood is] either in you or it isn't. You either have that maternal feeling or you don't, and I've never had that feeling.”

In the same interview, the Touch hitmaker expressed deep admiration for women who choose motherhood, describing her own mum as a superhero.

Having grown up in a single-parent household with three siblings, she admitted she had "never even thought" about having children herself.

The unearthed comments come after Nelson announced on social media that she is expecting twins.

Reality star Ferne McCann and TV presenter Laura Whitmore were among the famous faces congratulating her in the comments.

Nelson left Little Mix in December 2020 after nine years in the successful girl group.

She blamed her mental health struggles on the pressures of being in the band and received praise for the 2019 BBC documentary Odd One Out, in which she revealed that abuse on social media became so bad that she attempted suicide.

The group, who formed on The X Factor in 2011, comprised Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Nelson.

After she left the band, Romford-born Nelson released her first solo single, Boyz, featuring Nicki Minaj, in 2021, followed by Bad Thing in 2023.
