Jesy Nelson has revealed an ultra glam curly hairdo ahead of Christmas.
The former Little Mix star revealed she had swapped her long blonde locks for a shorter chocolate brown hairstyle, which was expertly styled by celebrity hairdresser Chris Southern.
Sharing her new look with her 8.4 million Instagram followers, the Boyz singer fluttered her eyelashes at the camera as she posed on her bed.
Giving fans a close up of her new brunette do, Jesy captioned the post: “Don’t mind me just admiring my new barnet by the hair god that is @chrissouthernldn.”
In a photo posted just five days ago, the 30-year-old was rocking a long blonde balayage look which looked to be styled with extensions, so is 2022 the year Jesy embraces a more natural look?
Since embarking on a solo career, Jesy has deleted all trace of her time in Little Mix from her Instagram account.
The girl band recently announced they were splitting after 10 years together to focus on solo projects.
After their Confetti tour in 2022, remaining band members Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards will go their separate ways.
Although they have promised fans it is only a break and not a permanent split – meaning they will make new music in the future.
But it hasn’t been plain sailing so far for Jesy, who quit Little Mix in December 2020, a decision she said was prompted by her mental health.
In a statement at the time, she said: “The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.
"There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin the process.
"I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing thing that make me happy. I'm ready to embark on a new chapter in my life - I'm not sure what it's going to look like right now, but I hope you'll still be there to support me.”
Jesy has since revealed she hasn’t spoken to Jade, Leigh-Anne or Perrie since she quit the band.
And it has emerged she didn’t tell the girls she was leaving, instead ‘blindsiding’ them by announcing the news on social media.
There have also been rumours of a feud between Jesy and Leigh-Anne after Jesy’s debut single Boyz featuring Nicki Minaj caused a ‘ blackfishing ’ row.
Leigh-Anne is reported to have called Jesy a ‘horrible person’ in now leaked DM’s sent to viral TikTok star NoHun as fans accused Jesy of cultural appropriation and stealing black culture.
