Jesy Nelson has shared an emotional update with fans, revealing she needs emergency surgery to save her unborn twins, reported PEOPLE. The Little Mix star, who is expecting with her partner Zion Foster, had already told followers last week that her babies were at risk due to complications.
Jesy, 32, had been diagnosed with pre-stage twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome and was undergoing weekly scans to monitor the condition. But in a heartbreaking turn, she took to Instagram on Saturday (March 8) to share the devastating news that her symptoms had worsened, and doctors now had to act urgently.
In the tearful video, Jesy admitted she had been feeling “poorly” for the past few days, experiencing worrying symptoms like a tightening belly and difficulty breathing. She and Zion went to the hospital for a check-up, hoping it was nothing serious—but the news was not what they wanted to hear.
“Unfortunately, the symptoms have got worse, so they now have to perform the procedure, which is obviously not what we wanted to happen,” Jesy said, struggling to hold back tears. Zion, by her side, comforted her as she explained just how terrified she was.
“But it’s necessary because it’s going to give our babies the best chance of surviving,” she continued. “So we’re just waiting to go in and we’re just hoping and praying for the best really. I feel absolutely gutted because I was really hoping we wouldn’t be in this position.” Jesy admitted she was scared about what could happen next, adding, “It’s obviously really scary because there’s so many things that can happen. Pray for us, please.”
Her emotional message was met with an outpouring of support from fans, friends, and fellow celebs. Many flooded the comments section with love and encouragement, reassuring her that she had the strength to get through it. One fan wrote, “You’ve got this my beautiful, I love you! Everything will be okay.” Another added, “Sending you so much love and positivity.”
A third praised Zion for being by Jesy’s side during such a difficult time, saying, “Thank you, Zion, for being such a great energy around Jesy right now. Praying that everything will be okay for you and the babies, Jes. You’re a tough mama.” As Jesy prepares for surgery, her fans are standing by her, hoping for the best outcome for both her and her little ones.
