Winners
Gabriel Jesus
Your first Premier League start after a long injury and two goals to your name, can it get much better? Arguably one more goal or course, but Gabriel Jesus will be delighted and over the moon with that.
Taking the penalty with Bukayo Saka not starting the game comes at the perfect time for him too, taking that responsibility and scoring will do wonders for his confidence that was then arguably reflected in how he took the second goal.
Ben White
These last ten games are going to be big for Ben White after the Gunners have experienced injuries to both William Saliba and Takehiro Tomiyasu. The latter is out for the season meaning White is the only natural option for the position until the end of the campaign.

His goal today is the first time he’s scored more than one in a single season. His offensive game has developed significantly since moving to right-back and these moments highlight what he’ll bring; the hope now is he stays fully fit.
Mikel Arteta
Mikel Arteta had to show what his team was capable of without their star boy and they responded. Granted it took some time after a jittery start but his team managed to overcome the hangover from the international break with four goals.
Despite all of Jesus, Xhaka, Martinelli and Odegaard requiring attention after some rough challenges, his team avoided injury too. The run-in is well and truly underway and the Spaniard will now face his biggest challenge as Arsenal manager.
Losers
Oleksandr Zinchenko
It’s harsh always to find losers in such good wins but Oleksandr Zinchenko turning his back led to the Leeds United goal. The deflection took it past Aaron Ramsdale which, once against, cost Arsenal a clean sheet.
The hope will be this moment is picked up on and Zinchenko can learn from it. With big games coming up, it’s good this mistake happened here.
Manchester City
Yes, they beat Liverpool which is a huge bonus for them but to then see your rivals ease to a win by the same scoreline will be a frustration. Arsenal keep winning in what is a simple but challenging ambition which, should it carry it, be a mental blow to City each time.
Furthermore, with the Gunners travelling to Anfield next, City have shown how Arsenal can better their upcoming opponents. A win for the first time since 2012 is what will be required to claim all three points. But it’d take someone brave to bet against us.
Substitutions
The late goal from Leeds United probably cost the likes of Emile Smith Rowe, Kieran Tierney and Fabio Vieira more minutes on the field. That said there’s an argument that players like Smith Rowe could do with plenty more minutes with us now out of other competitions.
Managing minutes will be critical so giving the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White and Gabriel Jesus tests is important. Nine games remain and the potential reward could be unbelievable.
